Hi! I had some lowlights of my natural color put in my hair on May 11th. I went back about a week later b/c it seemed that had faded to me. My hairdresser didn`t think so, but so re did them. It`s been about a week and a half now, and I think they have faded again. Nothing to drastic, but I was wondering if there was something she go do to prevent them from fading. Or if there was something I could do. I use Biologe clolr care shampoo+conditioner. If she went a half a shade darker next time would this help?

I had the same problem when I started with low-lights about two months ago. My hair is naturally dark blonde/light brown. However, I had lightened it so much it was severely damaged and un-natural looking. I wanted the low-lights done in a dark blonde/light brown so that my regrowth would start blending in. They looked wonderful the first week... then they all faded away. Next time,my hairdresser used the next darker tint. They are lasting much better now. However, it does take several applications of the low-lights before they start to "keep" if your hair is severely damaged by bleach. It takes a while for a the low-lights to build up on the hair shaft. The low-lights just won`t stay on damaged hair right away. You have to let them build up. Also, I started using Redken Color Extend shampoo and conditioner--which is wonderful. I hope this helped. If you have anymore questions, I`ll try to help. Good luck!
