hey i was wondering if anyone got their hair done at a dominican salon? or any other salon that you would recommend me to go and what is a good price for a wash, roll and set, and straightened? Do you think its best if i but a maxiglide and just straighten it my self because i just got my perm cut off and need advice.  I just need some tips on whether going to a salon and letting someone take care of it would be better for me so i could grow my hair back outSmile

Muchas gracias

I go to a dominican salon. My stylist is great! But I have a probelm with the way stylist "trim" my hair. That is what inspired me to start taking care of my hair myself. I researched different hair techniques posted on this site to see what works best for me. So far everything is going very well and my hair is getting so long. I do my own trims. I plan on continuing my trips to the dominican salon only once every 6 months to get a retouch.

Do it! I used to go every week but once I started looking into hair care I opted to just do it myself. My results are good and I save money. But when I didn't know ish about my hair, girl the dominicans were my hero. I love that they don't use so much heat!! And they understand the importance of conditioning afro hair
