I figured it would be easiest for everyone who tries this to post any ideas here, comments, suggestions. Also attached are some pics.
My regular sew weft, not hand tied. This is the back, front is flat.
This is the ribbon weft.
flat on both sides. the organdy makes the LG stick better.
Ok here is a sewn weft just removed & ribbon weft just removed.
Polyseam weft, needs one layer of ribbon at bottom to make it stick to the head, less visible but a wee bit glossy, might be able to buff lightly with nail block. Silicone looks the same.
I'll try some Keratin this next week.
Installation: using LG on the ribbon, goes on really smooth, no hair rolls up & I don't have to trim off stray hairs. I found these nifty clips I use after putting the LG on the weft & securing the top of the hair & bottom of the hair but without it clumping or sticking to other sections of hair. For holding on the weft until it's dry leaving it cleanly sectioned & drying. These are the small ones 3 inches long, 1 inch wide with tiny teeth. the 2nd version is twice as long, slightly curved to fit your head.
Comments so far. Take the nail buffing block to the LG dirty ribbon weft whammo clean, heat up the glue gun & putting the nozzle (mine has the little mini bronze one for finer lines) directly on the weft & slightly reseal. Trick is don't let excess come out, slightly rub across with shishkabob stick & whalla like new. If you get a chunk on it, take the buffing block and clean. I can see this taking maybe 30 minutes, cleaning the others take about an hour. Plus no waiting for drying, no drying on ribbon weft.
So any ideas or comments feel free to chime in.
