I always use 20 volume peroxide for everything. Bleaching, coloring, anything. If somone wouldn't mind explaining what the different strenghts mean, and what they do, I would be grateful.

People in the posts I have read always refer to the differnt strenghts but I did not see any explanation as to what they do or why to use a different strenght. If this is a double post I am sorry. If anyone knows of a post explaining that I missed maybe you could get me the link.

Thanks so much!

Thank you so much!

Just to make sure...If I don't want much lift like putting brown on blonde I should only use a 10V not a 20V. Is that right? Or will it only make the shade of dye come up darker?

Sorry to ask more questions, but thank you for your help>

Yes you would generally use 10v for a permanent blonde->brown, but be careful not to choose to dark a shade or your porous (if bleached)  hair will soak up too much dye.  Also, if bleached you would have to add red or gold back in to stop it from taking a green cast.
