My hair is naturally medium/light brown and it`s currently colored in light auburn. What should I do to make my hair lighter and not so bright?

You should use an ash or cool toned color to get rid of the red but color won`t lighten color so you may have to strip/bleach out the red and then put on an ash or beige afterwards.
