Hello,

When hairdressers colour your hair and/or touch up your roots, are they not just supposed to apply colour as close to your scalp as possible?  I can feel my hairdresser applying colour on my scalp.

Thank you.

Hi,

I am a hairdresser, and it really depends what you are having done, example if it is a full head colour your having done, yes a hairdresser, will allply the colour to your hairline first, then roots or ( if it root touch-up) then apply colour through middle ends and ends (all over)so it will go onto your scalp.. If its hi-lights then a hairdresser would apply the colour or bleach using foils, yes they do try and get to as near as possible, but not to near the scalp as this will causel seapage. I hope this answers your question. Karen Smile
