I wouldn't reccomend it!!! Trying to achieve that platinum blonde is incredibly damaging, especially if you have lifted black from your hair!! I had this done about a year ago at a top salon, and even a great hairdresser can't stop the breakage. I usually have very strong hair but it just couldn't handle all the bleach and broke off.I had to have alot of my hair cut off and dyed back to my natural dark color. If you are wanting to get rid of the yellow, try a violet based toner, you can get these from sally's.This will make the blonde more ashy and natural looking.Hope this helps :-)

Frosty Ash is a high lift and it should work if you use a 40 vol developer (they recommend 30 but really, it's a high lift) but be _very careful_ about damage!  Wella recommends 45 minutes max IIRC.

If it's yellow, you may want to go the bleaching and toning route of bleaching to pale yellow (NOT WHITE) and then toning with a violet toner.

I'm also just curious, you said you had dyed black hair, but what's your natural hair color and how did you strip out the black?

well chinastop....heres what i did....i have extremely short hair.....i use a 3 clippers on the side and scissorcut on the top.....that said, I have natural dark brown hair that i have dyed black for the last 5 yrs...I dye my hair everytime i get it cut which was about once a month due to the gray hair i now have. I used a quick blue bleaching powder....I applied and reapllied for about 4 hours until i was at a golden yellow then i rinsed and put conditioner in it, blew it dry then reapplied for another hour using basicwhite 2 extra strength. so, i was left with a whitish blonde and decided to go ahead and use the wella frosty ash...which didnt really do much but make the sides and back a ultra white....so that was yesterday and today i washed 4 times with shimmer lights shampoo for blonde and silver hair (the purple stiuff) and the last time i let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing... I now have perfect platnium hair...it is exactly what i wanted and it is a great white color. I had no damage at all to my hair, due to its short length....I dont know what works for anyone else but this worked great for me...I went from dyed black to white in 3 days!

I'm sure glad your hair turend out good. I was gonna say not to do it,but u did & it's ok.If u like it that way then keep it.I will say this.Once u find a product & color u like. Then keep using it.It's when u change the product is when it's messes up.I use Basicwite bleach on my hair to.I love it.I use it on my roots now.Cuz I got the blonde I want.If u wanna freshen up your color.U can get Artec Color Shampoo. It's the best stuff. It keeps the color from fading.PLus, it adds color.U would love it.JUst read about it online. It keeps me from coloring my hair as often.
