Hello!

I've been a vegetarian for almost 11 years now, and I've never had any problems with a lack of protein or not getting other nutrients, but I've been wondering something lately.
If you take a slice of bread that had, say, 3 grams of protein, and then put some peanut butter on it that had 5 grams of protein, how many grams of /complete/ protein would that translate to in your body?
Just 3, or 5?  or would they combine to make 8 somehow?

Thank you very much!

Just add 'em up, that would be 8 grams of protein (assuming you used as much as the jar says contains 5 grams).

Complete or not, I don't know - I don't know if peanuts lack certain amino acids and need to be paired with something (like rice is best paired with beans because they each lack an amino acid the other has).
