to me there all the same. but optimum relaxer kits come with extra conditioners and treatments to save moisture in the hair.

This is going to be a stretch but I am on a no chemical binge and I am trying to clean my system of all unnecessar chemicals. I dont really want to stop using relaxers so I looked for an alternative. It came in the form of phyto specific relaxers. Now, I'll tell you right now that it's 60 dollars but it has no chemical (none of the no-lye or lye).
Think about it other than that I would suggest you use Soft and Beautiful the new one that says it has 6 times more protection. It doesn't burn.

MY mother bids me bind my hair
With bands of rosy hue,
Tie up my sleeves with ribbons rare,
And lace my bodice blue.
