Ok so.. I've been coloring my naturally blonde hair black for the past two yrs. In september '06 I went back to my natural blonde.Naturally, the color was not exactly the same. My natural color is golden blonde, while the colored/ bleached part is more reddish. I would like to kow is there a way thet I could balance the color out without bleaching since my hair is still somewhat damaged. I heard toner might help but I'm not sure what kind. Any suggestions would ge greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wow, did you use a color remover to get the black out? Getting black out is one of the hardest processes to accomplish successfully (I assume you did this yourself), so if you're close to your natural color at this point, kudos! I would imagine your hair might be damaged now, so I'm not so sure that trying to "bleach" out the redish tones is such a good idea. A professional is your best bet if you're not happy with your color now. Toners might help for a short time, but they can also dull your overall color. Plus, a toner won't lift out the pesky reds that you still have. Again, best to see a pro on this one! Hope this helps.
