Hi. I wash my hair every other day, and on the first day I straighten it. The next day, I just do something different with my hair such as a pony tail or something. On the second day though, my roots are very oily and the ends are dry. How can I fix this please???

First of all, the flat iron is the cause of your dry ends.  The more often you use heat to style your hair (blow dryer, curling iron, flat iron) the worse it will be.  If you could use the flat iron less often, it would help that.

Your shampoo may be too harsh, or you may be using too much.  It's possible that you're totally stripping away all the oil on your scalp which causes it to work overtime to replenish it.

p.s. flat ironing may not be the only cause of your dry ends, i didn't mean it to sound like that.  but it's a big one.

thanks :D. it's just been getting really greasy lately. i'm going for a hair trim soon which will get rid of the split ends. i'm trimming it every two months lately because i'm growing out my hair.
