Our local radio station has been promoting the "glam slam metal jam" with Poison and Warant coming to our town, and as a result my co-workers and I were re-living our glorious "big hair" memories. I thought that I had "big" hair with my teased up poofy bangs, but my friend Shelly brought in her senior picture from 1991 and she had BIG hair!!! We all agreed that Aqua Net was THE hairspray of the 80s and even tho the four of us were from different states we all used the same brand, "extra-super hold" in the pink can! Any other former "big hair" chicks out there?? How high were your bangs?

(whose bangs were probably 4+ inches high and very, very stiff!!)

I used something called Stiff Stuff. Really worked but I had to use clarifying shampoo every day to get it out.

AQUA-NET ROCKS!!! lol

yea I am a child of the 80s. grad from hs in 90.

my hair was toned down for my senior pic, but I had to wash with baking soda to get my hair clean.

my sister`s hair was so rock hard that the ends would snap off if she tried to bend them.

spray>curl on the iron>spray while on the iron>unroll>spray again> tease>flip upside down>spray>tease (blowdrying on cool to help dry faster)> stand right side up>spray>postion hair again >and a final spray(until you got to school, then check before first pd). ;0 ahh the memories.

Alright.... i gotta fess up..... i still use aqua net! It`s the only thing i can use for dancing!!!

Definately a child of the 80`s and proud of it!
No doubt about it...Aqua Net "Super Hold" in the pink can! I couldn`t keep enough in my house.
My hair stood about 5 inches off the top of my head. From all directions! :)
Hey...I thought I looked pretty cool back then.
