Hey!

I'm a guy and I do my hair in a faux hawk. I dyed my bangs blonde (I'm a natural brown) a few months ago, and it's coming out now. I was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to dye streaks of blonde into the actual hawk, not my bangs. I want the sides of the hawk to have streaks of blonde going across.

Would it be risky to put hair spray into my hair to keep the hawk up, then put the bleach into the hair? Like would the mix of the two substances do some damage? I was kinda hoping to do it myself, that's why I ask. =P

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if hair spray would be risky, but I wouldn't use it when you can avoid it.  You will look silly doing it, but instead of using hair spray while you dye it, part it carefully and use clips to leave out only the hair you want dyed, and put the hair you don't want dyed in a bunch of little ponytails, rubber bands, or hold it up with the clips....whatever gets it out of the way so you can do your bleach without getting bleach on those parts.
