Whats the difference carrier and edible oils?

whats the difference carrier and edible oils? Im trying to get more into oils for my hair and body i have seen some of the carrier oils as edible oils in grocery stores can they be used instead? they are a little cheaper. Wink

A carrier oil is simply one that is used to dilute essential oils.  It's used like a base for mixtures.  There are alot of oils that can be used as carriers, most of them made from foods (such as olive oil and coconut oil).  Food grade oils are perfectly fine to use on your hair and skin.  In fact, I figure they're safer because they're edible!
