I have jet black curly hair and I have been thinking about getting highlights. I was wondering what color highlights would look best with my hair color. Also before I take this step I was wondering if anyone could show me a pic of someone with black hair and highlights?!!
Thanks so much~!!!!

The deal is to try and stay 2 shades within your current color range. If you have jet black hair unless bleach is first used (and this can be a little harsh) the color may turn out with reddish tones.

If a colorist is doing the highlights they can make them any shade you want but may need to use bleach first to lift the color. If you are doing them at home yourself then stick to no more than 2 colors lighter to avoid a red or orange color base.

Hope that helps.

It is great that you are taking your time with this to avoid problems.

Best wishes,
Karen
