I've been doing the CWC routine, and I think it has caused breakage due to over-conditioning. Is that a sign?
I hope this hasn't been posted before. I looked, but couldn't find anything.
Any links would be appreciated. Thanks!

when i overcondition(or the conditioner isn't washed out well enough for that matter) then, yes, i experience breakage. my hair seems to snap easier when i'm combing it or running my fingers through it. were you using a particular conditioner when you had the breakage or does it do that with any conditioner?

What's CWC?
I've had good results with L'Oreal CurlVive lightweight conditioner...

CWC means condition, wash, condition
I only experience a lot of breakage if I use the above routine (CWC).
It makes sense that it was from too much conditioner, but I'd like to know more about over-conditioning.

Hey Amanda,
I'm really sorry to hear this, I think you'll probably be fine if you cut down on the conditioner, this is, wash your hair twice with very gentle shampoo, then use a bit of conditioner, leave it to work for 1 or 2 minutes and then thoroughly rinse it.
My hair is slowly kreeping over my shouders, i'm sooooo happy!!! My first goal is bra-strap length, I can hardly wait!!

I'm lost.....breakage from conditioner. How is that? Conditioner coats your hair with silicones which smoothes it, so how could it break??
By the way, to remove build-up I use Neutregena anti-residue like once every two weeks, works great! (I only wash like once every 3 days anyway, so) (my hair, that is)

AggiePam, not all conditioners have cones. I can't explain the "scientific" reason why too much conditioner is bad. There is a link in the post below, it should help. Ever hear the saying... too much of a good thing?
Caro! Congrats! Nice to hear from you!

Too much silicone(or any 'cone) can "suffocate" your hair!
