I`m STILL debating if I should get my VERY THICK, dry, hair. THINNED or have it LONG LAYERED?

I don`t really know what I want, and of course all talk with my stylist. But *I* can`t descide! LOL. I have basicly mid-length hair, brown. I want to go with the one that will give the best results. I want it to be LESS thick!

So in general, does thinning give the best results, like does it make your hair thinner. THAN long layers would?

I really like to be able to put my hair up sometimes like in a pony tail/bun, and with long layers..you really can`t because some parts of your hair is shorter some are longer y`know. So I`m thinkin` I might just try thinning first and maybe if it doesn`t really help any, I might get it layered. But still, I`m undecided! LOL

Any advice would be great! :)
