Hi all -

I'm wondering what kind of shampoo I should be using since I colored my hair, using semi-permanent color. I have been using two different ones (one at a time) that are labled for color-treated hair, and then a conditioner, but my hair ends up too heavy, like it's over-conditioned.

I try not to shampoo a lot - about every two to three days.

Shampoos I have found for color-treated hair all seem to have conditioner in them, which seems to be too much conditioner for my hair - it is baby-fine.

Any suggestions? Does anybody know of a shampoo that is OK to use on color-treated hair that doesn't contain conditioner?

I'm not sure what else to do. Could I just use my regular shampoo (Pantene daily clarifying) and not worry about it? Is this harsher than the ones for color-treated hair?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts on this.

Sounds like you may be experiencing build up.  Try using White Rain Extra Body Shampoo once a week to clarify your hair--let the shampoo sit for about 15 min. once it's lathered.  It seems to work fine for me.

My hair is fine too and I use Pantene Full and Thick or Sheer Volume conditioner.  I like this conditioner for fine dry hair.
