I tried the Sheer Blonde highlighting shampoo and conditioner once the other night and came away with really crappy hair that felt like the beginning stages of straw hair. Well, I had to do a intensive leave-in conditioner for about a week before the damage was reversed. And before, my hair was soft. Now, it`s just getting back to normal. One use was all it took from Sheer Blonde. AVOID!

I am sooooo glad you posted this. I get so many emails every week lately with problems with this product. The problem is that there has been so much advertising hype about the product that people don`t know about this side effect on MOST hair.

Actually, to be fair, many of the color shampoos tend to be a little drying. Aveda`s Blue Malva, ARTec`s color shampoos, Paul Mitchell and Mine all work best on hair that is not dry or coarse to begin with.

However, based on the feedback I am getting Spunky Girl, the Sheer Blonde is just way too drying for many people. Especially in the summer when hair is actually more dry than ususal.

Thanks for the post.

Karen
