ive been tryin 4 a week to get waves and i know it takes brushing but at night before i go to sleep i put dax on aand wake up the next morning and take off my du-rag my hair looks nappy like i did not wear a du rag any tips on how to lay my hair down

I get the same problems
Even when i put my durag on i can feel hairs sticking up from the durag

if u dont got ripples dont touch pomade.. brush and moisteroise ur hair... den if u want it to lay down.. wet ur hair.. brush ur hair wit a softy for a few min .. while its still damp.. du-rag
 
and hair stickin up aint a big deal.. especially if ur hair is low..

oh well u u read this the easy way is to get a mans perm called s curl and after that start the wave process
