Okay so first of all, my hair is currently lightbrown with blonde highlights.
What I'm wanting to do is to dye the bottom layer of my hair jet black, so this will be a home job. I've done it before a couple years ago and it turned out great, I loved it, only thing is.. they don't make the dye I used anymore.
So my question is.. what brand of hairdye to you suggest I use this time around. Note that I'm wanting Jet black not blue black. Also what can I do to prevent it fading when I wash it, are there any good shampoos/conditioners to prevent fading of black hair?

Thanks so much in advance, I appreciate all the help I can get

Well, I'm glad u r only doing the bottom.Cuz I'd tell u not to dye it black all over. That's only cuz black is hard to get back another color.Anyways, I like Loreal Prefernce hair color.I'd try that.If u don't want it to fade try Artec color shampoo for black hair.U can buy that online or at a Salon.I use it in Lemon Flower, for blonde hair.I have very blonde highlights.it makes my hair shiny & bright.U will love it.My sister -in- law used Wella hair color from Sally's underneath her blonde highlights. It last her about 6 months.it hasn't faded yet.U might wanna try that. Now, I wanna do this to my hair.Well, off to the store i go.I'm gonna get try Wella color.Good luck to u.I'll let u know how mine looks.Keep me posted.
