ouch that is no regular dandruff more like psoriasis. you have dandruff and dry scalp. you should limit your shampoo to every other day to prevent from drying up your scalp even more. you may need to use more that one type of dandruff shampoo. I have dandruff problems also and it itches like hell not to mention the huge flakes it produce.  What I do is i use 3 different kinds of anti dandruff ingredients. I use Zinc pyrotine for my shampoo, available in majority of shampoos such as Head and Shoulders and climbazole which is the active ingredient in my Dove Anti Dandruff conditioner. I also use this herbal line shampoo called Himalayan Herbal, its a dandruff shampoo made with natural ingredients like lemon, tea tree oil, and some indian/himalayan herbs. So far it works well as long I remember to shampoo every other day. My hair and scalp does not dry out because I use a conditioner.

Dandruff can never be really cured, you just can control it. I recomende you use a variety of anti dandruff shampoos. There is an article in hairboutique that tells you all the different kinds of anti dandruff ingredients. Keeping your hair really short can work wonders, although you may want to really wash your hair, using your clean finger nails to remove excess dandruff.

Diet also plays an important role, if you take a lot of carbs like I do ( I love rice) your dandruff can get wild. Eat more veggies ok.

nah i also have a bad case of dandruff. I hate it when i wear black annd suddenly i got flakes on my shoulders. arghh. i forgot to include this in my last post, you may want to try diluted vinegar or mouthwash as a scalp massage/rinse after you shampoo. just combined 1 part vinegar/mouthwash to 4 parts water. You can increase the concentration, but it might sting a little. Apply to scalp, massage, leave for 5 minutes. It should improve your dandruff condition

just remember attack dandruff with a variety of arsenal. you can control it.
