WackoI am new to this site.  I have very thick, naturally curvy/wavy hair and am trying to let it grow out but it is driving me crazy.  I literally have to get it thinned every 6 weeks.  Am wondering about a cut that would help me let it grow out and be easy to take care of.  Right now it is about shoulder length after it dries.  If I dry it I end up looking like Bozo.  Any help out there????

Welcome!  http://www.naturallycurly.com - www.naturallycurly.com is awesome!  I've never had to deal with the "growing out" period since I've had long hair basically all my life, but I have learned a few tricks along the way for keeping it tamed.

favorite product: clear aloe vera gel (like the kind you find in the lotion section)
smooth some on either while the hair is wet, or right after it dries.  it helps with frizz and forms curls.

best tip I ever got: spritz dry hair with 1 tsp lime juice in 6 oz water
the lime helps the curls to form and become bouncy

do check out my site (link below) for more info!
