I know I have asked this before, but my husband has gotten me paranoid again. He thinks that my extensions rubbing against/around my real hair is causing my hair to break/ split/thin. Could this be happening. I use the clip ins, but I don't see any thin  spots on the scalp or anything, However my hair is so thin and sparse, way worse than when I first started wearign the extensions. Please help, I don't know what to do. My own hair is suffering. I know I don't eat right. Could this just be the problem? I hope so.

Of course not eating right could be a problem.  Your hair is fed from within.  Try taking a multivitamin (you'll notice a difference in about 3 months).

I doubt the clip-ins rubbing against your hair is causing a problem.  My own hair always feels sparse in comparison when I take down my extensions.  I feel damn near bald.  It's just because I'm not used to it.

If you're careful putting in and taking out your clip-ins and don't notice any hairs on the clip or thin spots on your scalp, it's probably just a comparison problem.

If you're noticing overall hair loss, you should probably check with your doctor.

Just make sure when you put your clip-ins in you don't put them back in in exactly the same place, this can cause tension on your own hair and make sure you don't sleep in them xx

Thyroid issues can also cause problems, some are temporary for example getting pregnant or having a child can easily cause your hair to change.  Thyroid issues tend to cause excessive shedding.

Hey there, I appreciate all the answers. I feel much better about it now. I do take a hair vitamin, I guess that would count as a multivitamin. I also take extra biotin and seaweed caps. Hopefully, this will start to help. If not, I am going to have to get a really short haircut to make my hair look halfway decent without the extensions.
