Hello All,

I searched the forums to see if there was a general preference for a certain type of fusion wand.  It seemed like everyone really liked the one sold on the DrLocks website, but the posts were kind of old.

So, I was just wondering, is that still the preferred wand?

If so, can you tell me why you guys like that one over the others available?

If it is not, what brand do you prefer?

The reason I am asking is because I am buying my first one and DrLocks' one is on back order for a few weeks and I really wanted to get one quickly.  I do not want to waste my money on something that is not of good quality.

Thanks for any comments you may have.

kind of pricey.I have the Loof kind.Pretty sure I got it from shrinkies.net(which it looks like they dont carry it anymore.) It works great. It gets extremely hot.Plus it works for everything from fusion to shrinks.

Hairextensions101 carries the one I have for $35.

My favorite wand was a $35 one from Wimex beauty.

If you were scanning old posts, that probably would be the Chaoba wand. It has flat plates and is dual heat with a temp control on the top. That wand is notorious for having one plate that's hot and the other that is semi-warm and it fluctuates. Still, it's a wand I use on a regular basis and like very much.

The other is a LOOF and is less expensive. Looking at the current photo on the site you mentioned, it's overpriced but the plates stay hot and remain the same temp.

I have a loof and it worked great for my last install. Nice and hot, no problems.

Thanks.  I looked at the one at Hairextensions101 and it looks identical to the one I just bought today (I'm impatient Smile), it has no name whatsoever on the box or the wand but I am possitive that it is exactly like the one on that site.

I'm not sure if it is hot enough though because I have never used shrinkies before.  It melts the glue on the tip of the hair fast but the shrinkie is sortof just flat.  Is that how it is supposed to look? It is almost like I don't even have to roll it or anything because it didn't really want to roll.  Does that make sense?

Anyway, thanks for your input.  I'm ordering the rest of the hair tomorrow and hopefully can do my first full shrinkie install this weekend or next week at least.  Wish me luck!!!
