I'm new to this and having a difficult time figuring out how this site works.  I am able to click on icons & read what other people have written, but I don't see how/where to ask questions........so I tried this icon.

Basically, I'm in the Hampton Roads area (Virginia Beach, Hampton, Chesapeake, VA)....and I'm looking for a Dominican Salon.  Anyone have any referrals?  AND......how do I navigate through this site???

Thanks!

I don't know about your salon, but you found it.  Just click "new topic" to make a new post like you did, and click on the link above on this page (or any page) that says "HairTalk@HairBoutique.com to go to the menu with all of the forums (or go to the "Forum Jump" menu at the bottom of the page to jump to any of the forums.

Thank you so much for the information!

As a matter of fact, I did find a Dominican Hair Salon!  So if anyone else is searching for one.......I can recommend:

Elegante Beauty Center
410 Briar Hill Road - Best Square Shopping Center
Norfolk, VA
(located across the street from Boston Market) (close to Military Hwy/Virginia Beach Blvd. intersection)
(757) 466-7333 or (757) 644-7405

Beware.....they don't take appointments - you just walk in and take a number.  Cry I was a little hesitant at first, but really needed to get my hair done.  Surprisingly it wasn't a long wait......approximately 20 mins. before I got in the chair!Smile  They actually take the "assembly line" approach.....meaning.....one person shampoos your hair, another person rolls your hair, and then another person styles your hair.  I had an opportunity to watch this whole process while I was waiting......and all of the stylists were skilled & produced a healthy, shiny head of hair!Clap

They have great hours:
Monday - Saturday 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
Sunday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
CLOSED ON TUESDAY

So if you're looking for a true Dominican Hair experience......I recommend them!
