ok so i am a male and have medium length wavy/puffy hair and im sick of it. i have tried styling it using hair spray and gel but they did not give very good results and i hate how they make ur hair feel and look (especially gel which makes ur hair look wet and crusty).

maybe u guys could help me here: im looking for a product that will let me style my hair properly, reduce the wavyness and puffyness, last long, make my hair look natural (not like gel).

oh and another thing, maybe u could give me a hairstyle that doesnt rely on the hair being too straight because ive looked everywhere on the internet and have not found 1.

thnx guys appreciate it

I use aloe vera gel (the lotion kind you put on your skin).  I get the clear one without green dye.  I could never use hair gel because, like you said, it made my hair crusty and stiff and it was soooo hard to get it all through my thick hair evenly.  But aloe vera works great!  It leaves my hair soft and natural looking, but still keeps down the fluff. (unless you way over-do it)  Good luck!

Have you tried mousse? Mousse would add some control to your hair but not feel as sticky as gel or hairspray.

hmmm sounds cool but can u style ur hair nicely with it? i style my hair to a semi fauxhawk so would it be able to hold it?

i read up on mousse and it sounds like just the thing im looking for! 1 thing i hate about the gel and hairspray that im using is that my fauxhawk always seems to sag and i have to go to the bathrooms to "re-hawk" it hahaha! so does mousse hold the hair in place really well or will i still have to re-hawk every few hours?

No, it doesn't have a strong hold.
