How often do you cut your hair? I have kinda short hair, I had it cut like Cameron Diaz`z in There`s SOmthing About Mary about a month ago. However, my hair grows so fast when I cut it short, but once it gets to my chin, it slows right down. It`s about to my chin now, maybe a little above.... Apparently my hair is the same type as Cameron`s.
Anyway, I feel I should cut my hair about once a month because it helps to keep it neater looking. I do want to grow my hair, but I don`t see how this is possible since I cut it so often. SO I get mad then end up getting it cut more than just a trim.
I don`t color my hair anymore, just highlights and my hair is healthy. I use good products too. It`s just it looks so much better after a trim.
Any suggestions to avoid these haircuts?

I`ve grown my hair out from a VERY short cut...2 to 3 inches all over. My hair is pretty healthy so I only trim it every 6 to 8 months. People say you should go more often, but if my hair is healthy I say let it grow. I never get split ends and have cut down on the use of a blow dryer and hair spray.

While I was growing out my hair I found that if I found a way to pull it back and just ignore the fact that I didn`t think it was growing after a while I would notice a difference in length. There was a while when my hair looked like it needed cut or something but I stuck it out. Granted my hair is curly and so it`s not noticeable when it is not cut nice and neatly. :)

Just a thought....do you pay someone to trim it? If so why not try saving that money for something else. Like fun hair accessories. :) If you pick somethings you`d like to buy maybe you`d be less tempted to spend it on a hair cut.

I used to date a hairdresser many, many years ago, and she told me that if your hair is short, and in good condition, you shouldn`t have to worry too much about split ends. I believe the general consensus from hairdressers is if you want to grow out short hair, only cut the bottom layers until the top layers catch up, then get your haircut only every 2 months, but just a trim. The theory goes if you cut off 1/8th an inch every two months, your hair grows 1 inch in that same time, your hair will be longer in no time!

Anyway, Lisa, you are WAY cute, no matter how your hair looks! If I wasn`t already married to a cutie (& 3 kids), I`d ask you out. If you have a boyfriend, he is a lucky guy!

I`m going to try to wait another month before I get my hair trimmed. I really want to grow it this time.
Over the summer I started taking Nature`s Bounty Hair, Skin and Nail vitamins from Wal-mart and I swear they worked! I stopped taking them becuase I went through my wanting to keep short hair phase for awhile. Guess I`ll start back up tommrow!! Wish me luck.

Hi Lisa,

I think you`d look great f you let your hair grow out some more, your blonde hair looks nice at chin length and will only look more stunning the longer it grows. Hopefully you won`t go and chop it all off again! If you want a friend to help you along with growing your hair out and to offer some support, please feel free to contact me and I would love to help.

Best wishes,

John
