Hey there :-)
Has anyone had any experience with the brand Florence yet? The box says it's 100% European Remi hair
 
I found it in my local beauty supply store a while ago in a 4/30  mx and bought it because i thought i might use it my last install. I decided to go with some lighter colors though, so ended up tossing it into my hair archives.
 
I just brought it back out though and have been playing with it, and so far it's passing the non-tangling with movement tests, and seems really soft. (This is with before installation and putting it throught the wear and tear of styling and rolling around in bed though).
Maybe someone has some idea on it's longevity and time-worthiness?

Well on drlocks they say it is" not chemically treated." However, I do not see how it can come in all of those colors if it is not chemically treated. SO I think that is a white lie....... I do not know if  they are just trying to say that it has not been chemically processed for texture, or what. ? . And, DAYUM that is expensive... there's a lot of REALLY nice hair you can get for that price.

Anyway, the hair might be super-nice, regardless. I have not personally ever heard of it, but I am curious to know your opinion of it as well as anyone else who has tried it. Always on the lookout for good hair. They certainly have some interesting color mixes that would be fun.

I haven't worn it but I have had my hands on it and ran my fingers through it. It is indeed chemically processed and has a coating on it to make it smooth and silky. I thought the blonde was a little dull and the browns didn't have enough vibrance for me. I expect hair to turn less vibrant after the coating starts to wear off but I don't expect it from brand new hair out of the package.

Yes, it's in a fancy flip top box with a huge price tag but it may very well be a pig in a dress if ya know what I mean.

Very good points y'all, especially considering the 4/30 i have is a piano mix. I have yet to see someone naturally grow a piano mix on their head without some type of color assistance.

Lil bohemian, that's what I was wondering too, if maybe they meant textural chemical processing. Or if maybe drlocks made an error in stating this claim. So I investigated a little further. I looked on the back of the box and it quotes

"Significantly different from conventional human hair, Florence is not chemically processed; therefore, offers unbeatable feel and texture to consumers"

(This is word for word). I also noticed that Florence is part of the Janet Collection, and I seemed to recall seeing this on hairsisters.com pretty recently. So I checked and here it is:

I just really had my hopes up for this hair since I love the way it feels when I run my fingers through it, and it settles really nicely after even doing my "towel whip" tests with it. But it would really suck if it turned into a birds nest later on.

whoa, never mind about that hairsisters.com price, for 18", it's $119 + $130 (for the extra 6 inches), that's $249 total. whoops

I am wearing Eurotress by the same brand right and it is awesome so far :) 4 days and several washings and no tangles or dullness.
