Use a good re-moisturising shampoo & conditioner that is rich in protein and will cleanse hair gently. Apply conditioner liberally especially to the ends. Comb through to prevent snagging and cover with a towel for about 15 minutes to enable the heat from your scalp to open the cuticles to allow the conditioner to penetrate deeply. Thick hair can be difficult to manage and the secret is a textured cut (but avoid too many layers) as it`s important to create softness and texture to this type of hair. Try a spray conditioning styling lotion, which creates fullness with a beautiful shine. A bob is a good style for thick hair and keeping the layers long will help you dry your hair straight more easily. If your hair is thick and straight go for the layered look of the blunt look. Colors always compliment a bob. For the blunt styles add a semi permanent color to give depth and shine. Highlights and low-lights add texture and movement to layered styles.
