every time i use it i flat iron my hair before and it turns out semi straight and doesn't have any wave definition. Do you think i should not flat iron before or what
i wanted to know soon because i plan on trying to use it again tomorrow

When I crimp my hair, I usually: take one section, go over that piece with the flat iron to actually bend the end of my hair (not straighten it), and then I use the wave barrel and crimp my hair. In the first two pictures, it looks like they used spritz. I like my waves soft, so I don't use spritz. I just use oil before and after I crimp my hair. I hope this helps
