You obviously learned your lesson about rubber bands so we won`t dwell on that mistake. The best home conditioner I know is honey and olive oil. Prepare the formula the day before you plan to use it. In a jar mix 1/2 cup honey and 1/4 cup olive oil. Cover tightly and shake thoroughly. Before you shampoo, massage solution over all of your hair briskly (pay particular attention to the ends). Leave on for 10 - 20 minutes (cover your head loosely with a plastic bag if possible). To remove the solution, thoroughly shampoo hair 2 or 3 times with a good moisturizing shampoo. Restores life and vigor to broken, split ends. Also calms excessive frizzies. Good luck!

I agree with Merlin 100%. Every time I have used that recipe, it has worked wonders. I find heating it up A LITTLE (not too hot...just warm to the touch) works very well too. Sure can`t hurt!
