With all the long to short makeovers of late, I thought I'd share one that is going the other way.  The actresses' name is Yunjin Kim and she has been transformed on the show Lost from a short haired gal:

to this:

Keep in mind that only 90 days have passed on the island so her hair growth isn't exactly keeping with the timeline.  In real life it's been 2.5 years roughly between pictures.

Ben C thanks for links. Good to see it isn't all going one way.

Shocked I don't watch much TV, but bless her heart. Her hair rocks now! Best, Bob

Yeah, but on the timeline of the show only 90 days have passed since they crashed.  Thus her hair (and only HER hair) has grown a foot in "three months". Smile

3 pm is simultaneously too late and too early to start anything.

You'd think that someone on the island could cut hair.

You would think the producers would notice that Sun's hair has grown about a foot in three months. Maybe it's the island doing it!

The producers of "24" are very good about this. The actors' haircuts remain constant all "day."

That's not really fair though, in "24" time is a much more crucial aspect of the plot then on "lost".  In "24" continuity isn't just a n extra factor to add realism, it's as important as the characters or the setting.

...and that's all I have to say about that.

Continuity is vital on "Lost" also. Jorge Garcia isn't allowed to lose too much weight. People have speculated that Malcolm David Kelley was taken off the show because he was growing so fast.

We don't know if time moves slower or faster on the island than in the outside world. We do know that the island can heal people who have cancer. It can make a sterile man potent. Sun's fast hair growth could actually be a clue. On this show, you never know. If it isn't, the hair shouldn't have grown fast.

Maybe the viewers don't sense anything amiss because two and a half years have passed, in their own lives, since the show's start, and having that much hair growth during that amount of time isn't unusual.

She was featured in a recent issue of Stuff rockin' the long hair.
