Hi There,
I was wondering if anyone had advice on what I could put on my hair because it is sooooo damaged from over coloring. It is dry, damaged and lifeless. It is mainly the shaft and ends of my hair. In fact, the last time I colored, my shaft and ends turned out a greyish/ash color and I was told that was becasue my hair is soooo damaged and over-processed. I am looking for something that I can put on my hair and leave on for 30 minutes or so that does not require heat and a really good everyday conditioner and perhaps a leave-in conditioner. I want to re-color my hair in about 4 weeks and want my hair in the best possible condition. I am thinking the best bet is to cut off most of the damaged parts, but I am desparately trying to grow out a very short haircut. That`s my story....I hope someone can help. Thanks!

The best no-heat conditioner I know is Monoi Oil. It works wonders. My wife even leaves it in overnight sometimes and when she washes it out in the morning, her hair is like silk. You might be able to find it at a local health food store and there are several web sites that sell it. We get ours from the Long Hair Lovers site. I think you are doing the right thing - it sounds like the last thing your hair needs is heat and more chemicals. Good luck!!
