Hey, im new! :)

anyways. I bought Extensions from ebay and a heat gun for them too.
the hair is pre bonded hair.

So i tried the hair and gun on my hairdressing doll that i have and when i tried to glue it, the glue went really stringy and when it dried it looks abit weird like really notacible that there is something in the hair.

Any advice what im doing wrong?
does the gun have to be a certain heat?

Im really confused about glue ones because i have used clip in ones which are great but my hair is fine so you can see the clips thro my real hair which is why i wanted the glue ones.

Hope someone can help me!?

Thanks in advance anyone :)

x

hi natnat, welcome to the forum!

its probably just a matter of getting your technique down pat. After you heat the bond until its completely melted you need to roll it into a tight small cylindrical bond. If you pull your fingers away from the glue when its hot it will get stringy. If you wait too long to roll the bond the glue wont form a nice neat looking bond. Did you get some finger protectors so you wont burn your fingers? The glue is naturally stringy, but the little strings should pull right off and not cause any problems.

Just keep practicing on your mannequin and you'll get the techinque down.

HI natnat! its a good idea to roll the glue with a silicone pad too this helps get a nice tight seal and also stops the glue from getting contaminated with the natural oils from your skin, and stops the burning too of course!
