Ok,  another really newb question coming at you all =)

I am still a bit confused on how to find my exact color.  I want to buy some machine wefted hair to create some of my own clip in pieces.   My own hair is a medium kind of ashy brown, a little wavy, and about 18" long.  I don't dye it, or plan to in the future.

I've been looking at all sorts of vendors for buying hair.  But I'm still not sure how to pick out my color.   I think I read that the numbers for different colors should be consistent even through different brands?  IS that why sometimes I go on a site and all they do is list color # choices and have images of those colors, but no color ring available? (none that i can find anyway).

example http://www.hairaddition.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=H&Product_Code=BH-Bwave&Category_Code=WP - http://www.hairaddition.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=H&Product_Code=BH-Bwave&Category_Code=WP
These numbers are supposed to be universal?

I actually bought a color-ring from Humanhairpieces.com and found it to be pretty limited.  It goes in even numbers, and the 3 closest to mine are obviously not matches.   the #8 is close,  but too warm.  I need something like their #8 but with just less of a reddish tone.

Can someone show me a colorring I should get that will give me the most amount of brown choices?    Thanks guys =)

Colors can vary quite a bit from brand to brand.

Here is the Bohyme Color Ring which has alot of browns:

sweet, thanks!

what do you think the difference between 8 and 8A is?   is one of them maybe more ash brown (as opposed to warm brown)?

the 8A is less warm than the 8. But is also a hard color to get, most vendors dont carry it and its not available for all lengths & textures.

*sigh*   I'm starting to find that out.
Don't vendors realize that not everyone has warm colored hair?!?  Tongue

ok, i might have found somewhere to get the 8A   Big%20smile

Do you possibly have other rings to compare the 8 to?  Since its hard to tell for sure by pictures I just want to find out if the Bohyme 8 looks relatively the same as 8 on other rings.  It could just help give me an idea if its right for me or not since I've ordered some pieces in 8 from a company before.

Looking at 3 color rings, the 8's are all very similar. A 4th color ring from a chinese supplier is a noticeable difference. I would say most are going to be very similar...but some brands may be noticeably different. If you post waht brand it is maybe someone whos used the brand or has the ring can make the comparison.

I'm definitely interested in how the Boyhme #8 compares to humanhairpieces.com  #8  but I would be surprised if anyone has those 2 rings

Hi you guys,
I'm having the same problem: no clue which color to choose. Some times my hair looks reddish and at other times ash. Could I get either of your opinions on which Bohyme color to use?

I don't own a camara myself but these were randomly taken by friends and what not. One of them I cut stuff out because It was more of a group picture. Anyway, thank you so much.
