Hi Sherrie,
I wanted to ask you about the Pro-tac method that you use.  I am currently wearing pre-bonded hair extensions but they never seem to look as thick as I want them too.  I saw the demo you made of the Pro-Tac install on the other board and really would like to give it a try.  Your hair is soooo gorgeous by the way!!!!   What I wanted to know is does your hair feel comfortable enough with that method to be able to wear it into a ponytail?  The reason why I ask is that I work out alot, running, gym, etc so I sweat alot and naturally have to wear my hair back.

Also, can I order the hair straight from your site?  I would like to try out the Bohyme hair, it looks so beautiful.

I am so happy to have found this board!  All of the ladies here have such lovely hair!!!   I've been wanting to change my method now for some time so I appreciate the help!
Thanks!

Carol

Hi Carol, thank you! Big%20smile

I like the tape methods because they are easy to do, and for me they are quick and remove quickly and easily. I dont have sticky issues that some people have with the tape. I also prefer the supertape over the protac. I wear 6 rows and can still put in a low ponytail just fine. I even wear my hair twisted up in a clip frequently. If I wanted to wear a higher ponytail I would eliminate my bottom row and I could wear a higher ponytail.

I sent you a PM!

Thumbs%20Up  Thank you Sherrie!  Im really thinking of trying that method out (although Im not sure how great a job I'll do first timeConfused)
I have been wearing the Great Lengths Pre-Bonded hair (24") now for some time and I''ve been lucky enough to have a friend as a stylist who works in the Salon doing GL extensions, so I save an enormous amount of money. The problem is that it just never feels thick enough to me.  I also experience alot of shredding with it too.

After that I recently tried out the "Westend Hair" (I think someone on here gave me the link to it) and I can honestly say that their hair was SO much better than GL's!  The hair quality is superb.( I am wearing that now)  This hair has remained soft and has no shredding at all.  Of course with all good things there always has to be something,  and that is that the lengths aren't long enough for me, and of course the expensive price.  The bonds stay well too.  I've never felt hair so soft after wearing it for some time.

The Bohyme hair sounds like good quality and judging from your photos I can see that it stays exceptionally good after some time (with good maintainace of course) And after wearing pre-bonds for so long I think Im ready to try out the Pro-Tac method.
Thanks so much!

Sherrie, the Westend hair company is located in Austrailia.  I remember a while back when I was asking for pre-bonded hair on the board here that someone posted the link for me to try out.   They also have Russian hair as well which I had originally wanted,  but as I remember the price was around $300.00 or so and you didn't get that much.  So one of the women who works for them recommended me trying out the "Spanish" hair which she said was a bit cheaper in price but still very good quality.   The price was still a bit steep though, about $238.00 I believe for 20inches, (they pre-bonded for me)  but you didn't get too much, only about 25 pieces.   The hair is the best I've ever used so far (and I've tried sooo many)  and is still super soft, and shiny after repeated washings and use. Also, no shredding which was a big problem with GL for me!    It's also re-usable which is good for me (since Great Lengths wasn't)   The price is just too high for me and I can't afford to pay so much for a little amount of hair no matter how good it is.
Anyway, here's the link to it:

I am going to send you a PM about ordering the Bohyme hair.   I can't wait to try it out.  The demo you made does look pretty simple but I won't know until I try.   I will ask my daughter to help me out. She has been doing the fusion for me now for some time.

Yeah, I don't think you'll get a whole lot of shredding with the bohyme hair.

If your daughter can do the fusion method, she will breeze through a tape install!Big%20smile

Or maybe try the Liquid Gold method! I love it! But the tape is particularly convenient for a first time! ...
Bohyme is great hair, that is what I am wearing!

Thank you Frenchie1!Smile  Your hair is gorgeous too by the way.  I just am so amazed at the beautiful hair you all have.  Im so tired of dealing with these thin bonds and not too mention all the money I've spent on bundle after bundle of hair all these years!Ouch    I think it's time for me now to move on to a new method, and that is trying out the wefts.

Frenchie1, I was under the impression that the Liquid Gold method goes along the Pro-Tac method?  With Sherrie's demo install I thought it was the Liquid Gold and the Pro-Tac that she used?  Or is there another way that Im completely missing here?Confused

Hi Carol, you can use tape by itself, or the LG by itself they are both excellent methods and work well for many people. Either of these methods work very well for me. I prefer the tape simply because its easier to install alone IMO, but I find I get a little bit longer hold by adding just a little LG to my tape before installing. Frenchies method, using LG is also an excellent method for installing wefts.

the differences people find between tapes and LG are essential personal prefrence and their individual hair chemistry. I've had really good success with using tapes (supertape to be exact) and not as much with the LG. but there are plenty who have switched over in favor of LG over the tapes. both are very inexpensive methods so I'd say its worth experimenting with them to find out what works for you.
