Hi,
I have naturally wavy hair which I can make somewhat straight if I take my time blow drying.

But my hair goes back wavy after it gets moist(from sweat, or showering).

I was wondering if there is anything that can make my hair straight even after sweating or taking a shower and not blow drying.

A lot of asian people or blondes seem to have hair that will stay straight no matter what. It stays straight even after showering and letting it dry by itself.

Anything I can buy to get the same results??

thanx

Generally, I prefer to straighten wavy hair by setting it on large magnetic rollers - much less damaging to the hair. However, Caruso makes a steam straightener that works very well and is far less likely to damage your hair (sells for less than $30 too). The results last a long time although I haven`t seen anyone take a shower after using it. I would be extra cautious about using a chemical straightener. I have seen far too many women wreck their hair using chemical straighteners to recommend one. You might consider a body wave (using jumbo rods) though - I have used them to even out waves and it always worked very well.

Hey my hair dresser told me this.I was asking what a good way to keep my bangs straight would be.(permanent or not) He told me to go and buy a perm kit. Then put the solution in. And keep brushing it staight. I cant remember how long he said to keep brushing it straight for thoough.

I have used the same technique to relax a perm that was too tight. It works very well. You comb through the perm solution until the curls/waves have relaxed to where you want them and them apply the neutralizer. Don`t leave the solution in longer than the maximum time (usually around 20 minutes) so you don`t overprocess the hair. You will probably want to condition afterwards to keep the hair from drying out too.

I actually tried this once to straighten the cowlicks in my bangs. It worked wonderfully...until the next time I washed my hair!
