For some reason I couldn't reply to the original thread... and I'm an admin? (heh heh) Anyway I wanted to thank you all for the outpouring of support.  Some answers and comments... I'm curious Lady Maria, why you went from waist-length to very short. I did the opposite.  Started growing 11 years ago... I live in Florida and work at a large corporation, and restrain my hair for work! I ponytail it, then braid it. As far as long hair care, it wasn't difficult once I learned how to. Thanks for your kind words.Thanks for the warm wishes, Super Grover. I'll think about a more recent photo. Uzma, I have long admired your postings here, and look forward to more of your thoughts on various topics related to long hair. Okay Chris I'll settle down now (laughs).
