I`ve had a disaster with a new stylist this weekend and she`s over-processed my hair. Now, my hair is not smooth like before, it`s dry and tangles easily (I don`t know if the tangles are b/c of this, but...). Is there anything I can do to salvage my hair? I have leave-in conditioner in it at all times now, but it`s not helping. I`m so desperate to get my hair back to normal!

The best advice is to condition, condition, condition. If you have a Sally`s near you, try Mermade by L`Oreal - a very nice deep conditioner that works really well. You might also try Monoi Oil (available at some health food stores and on line at several sites). I have been getting very good results using it on dry, damaged hair. Also, try to stay away from heat as much as possible - if you must use a blow dryer, use the lowest setting; don`t use hot rollers unless you absolutely have to. Also, I have found that setting the hair on large magnetic rollers really smooths the cuticle. Takes longer but is much gentler to the hair. You are doing the right thing using a leave-in conditioner. Keep doing what you are doing, be gentle with your hair, and have patience. It will improve.
