Hi everyone,
So im in the process of growing my hair out and I want the healthiest/strongest hair possible. Im taking hair vitamins, and working on cutting out my heat styling a few times a week.

My stylist suggested a product by redkin that is straightening gel....i noticed today the second ingredient is alchohol. im no hair profession but that cant be good for my hair. Kind of dissapointed when a) my stylist reccomended this and b) its redkin- not even a "drugstore brand"

you think you are doing buying more expensive brands and im starting to think thats not the case. (i use bed head or nexxus shampoo and conditioners.)

Does anyone recc a good line of products that is GOOD for your hair? What ingredients should I avoid?

Pretty much every brand and gel will have alcohol in it. Using it wont make your hair damaged if you deep condition regulary and cut out heat styling often like you mentioned you should be fine.

Many people who are growing or have long hair have posted about using some sort of Aloe Gel that is supposed to be better than the normal store ones. If you ask about it on the long hair support section here someone should be able to tell you more.
