So I see that I def neet to retire my flat iron after spending some time reading these threads

Now if I need to blow dry my hair, will keeping the dryer one the low or cool setting be a lot better than the high setting?

Also, instead of using a flat iron, how about I use velcro rollers? Those dont have heat but I am wondering if they pull the hair? Thoughts please....

Definitely, low heat (or no heat) and low fan speed.  Even low heat is pretty hot, so if you use low heat, be sure not to focus the dryer on any one spot  -- just move it around constantly.

I haven't used a blowdryer in over 10 years.  But I live in Florida, so going outside in freezing weather with wet hair is not a concern.

My thoughts on velcro rollers is that if you handle the hair very carefully, it won't damage your hair.  Others (people who actually use them LOL ) may have differing thoughts.
