Anyone have any advice? My top hair is almost as long as my bottom (which goes down to slightly past my shoulders) but not quite. How can I style my top because thin/fine hair is a real pain!

how do you mean "style"? you could try a volumizing shampoo to give it some lift, or a volumizing spray. i know redken makes both. for a just for fun type thing, you could try waving your hair by braiding it when its wet and taking it out when dry. if oyu would like something more permanent, try a perm. you can get a wave or a spiral to perk up those fine/thin strands! hope this helped.

NO SPIRAL PERMS FOR PEOPLE WITH THIN, FINE HAIR!!!!! I have baby fine, thin hair, and I used to torture myself by getting spiral perms to "look" like I had a pretty, full head of hair. All it did was weaken and damage my hair. People with hair that is this fragile just can`t take the chemical processing AND still have healthy hair. I take very good care of my hair, now. It is VERY hard to try to keep it healthy and pretty looking. I also, have shoulder length, long bangs (it only looks like I have about 7 strands when my hair is wet ) One thing that REALLY helped me was getting those pink, soft curlers (I know, don`t laugh) and after I showered at night, I would apply a spray on volumizing gel (with NO ALCOHOL-I got some at Sally`s, I think it`s called Volumizer). Then, a leave in conditioner, of course. I curled up my hair and went to bed. You may have many different curls, of course, by the way you roll. Don`t roll them too tight, or you will end up looking like Shirley Temple-but with a ton of volume!!! At 7 AM, pull those bad boys out, and VOILA! Instant hair do with no damage AND tons of volume. If you can get through your family, friends and significant other making fun of you-you should have no worries!!!

I dont understand your description, is your hair to your bottom or just shouder length? Also, about the suggestion to sleep in rollers. Doesnt it hurt?

The curlers are soft, they do not hurt. I think she is saying her hair is all one length (somewhat), to her shoulders.
