I'm just curious. I've been wanting to. I've fallen asleep with them in but never for a full night of sleep. I'm guessing the reason why they say not to sleep with them is because they can get tangled? I know I've had them get tangled when I was just laying in bed and fooling around (not in a dirty way! haha) and being silly with an ex. I don't believe I move too much in my sleep. I'm just so tired in the morning and there is no way I could wake up early enough to put in my clip ins. Well let me know if any of you have had any experience sleeping with the clip-ins.

Actually the real reason that it is not advisible to sleep with clip ons in is the potential for traction alopecia.  Those toupee clips, you know they do clip in quite well, so over time the tightness of the clip in your hair and the rubbing and friction of the pillow, bald spots could appear.

If you sleep in them just once or twice, that's not big deal, but I wouldn't make it a daily routine.

I wore clip ins for years, and I thought it was actually uncomfortable and sometimes painful to  lay on them.

I'd echo everything metal girl says. If you do it in an emergency type situation, like you were out late at a friends or something, I'd pull them into a low braid to keep tangling to a minimum. Won't help with the traction issue, but alteast there won't be too much tangeling. Best advice is still to take them out each night due to the traction alopecia.

I mean you can sleep in them and it's a great way to pull your hair out, if you like that sort of thing.

Hey, no need to be rude! I didn't know that bald spots could occur. I posted on here to get advice. Sorry if you think it's silly.

I hardly move in my sleep. My hair never gets tangled and I don't find the clips uncomfortable if I place them in a good spot.
