I've had my hair blonde for a month (I naturally have dark brown hair) and last night I re-dyed my roots (I should have used bleach but instead I was stupid and just used a box of ultra light ash blonde to color my roots. So long story short I now have orangey roots in some places.
I'm tired of using crappy box dyes and would like to use stuff that is sold at Sally Beauty. However I have a question I want use Loreal Quick Blue Bleach, what strength of developer do I need? Then do I need to buy a blonde hair color and developer? If so what strength of developer do I use for the hair color?

First remove that color with color fix. Then get 20 vol. with the Quick Blue Bleach. Strand test to see how long to leave on. DON'T color your hair after you bleach, but rather TONE your hair. Clairol has Born Blonde which is pretty temporary. Lasts about a week. Good luck!
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help.
I have a question though, I noticed Clairol makes a Born Blonde permanent toner and a Born Blonde semi-permanent toner. Which one is better to use?
I can't wait to go to Sally! The closest one is about an hour and half away but it's worth the drive.

Clairol is really harsh on your hair...do you have any friends that are hairdressers?? If so see if you could get your hands on some Joico Kpak color the high lifts would work on your hair and lift it nicely...actually its mixed with 40 developer...20 volume will do nothing on your hair
