You need to deep condition often... cholestoral is pretty good.

you need some type of a cuticle sealer to put on the head prior to shampooing...Aveda makes one called Sap moss that works good and Joico has a cuticle sealer as well..also Nexxus makes Emergencee..which is protein ...you put it on leave it for a few minutes rinse..shampoo and deep condition...if you use a deep conditioner put a plastic shower cap on and put your hairdryer to the hair...the heat will open up the cuticle allowing the moisture to penetrate the hair shaft...sallys beauty supply makes this stuff called silk effects..the shampoo is nice and thick and the hair mask is really thick and smells like apples..the work good on my hair and my daughters who is mixed so its versatile..then i suggest Biolage smoothing shining milk spray...and Garnier Nuctric..split ends repair leave in creme..it has a filler that fills in the split ends...preventing further breakage its only temp until you wash again so you have to use it everyday...believe it or not using pure lemon juice over your hair before you shampoo will close the cuticle and bring your hair back to right ph level...even the white part of an egg left on is also alot like emergencee..i hope this helps you out
