Hi,

Sorry to hear of your hair coloring challenges. I am not sure how long ago you had it highlighted at the salon but I would first suggest that you call the stylist and the salon and tell them you are not happy with the color.

They should offer to help you with the highlights and I strongly recommend that if they are willing to help that you go back to the salon and let them work with you to adjust the highlights.

Also, deep conditioning treatments will help the dryness. There are many good ones that you can try or you can whip up your own at home hot oil treatments if you prefer. The key is to condition. Also, is you are not using a moisturizing shampoo and/or conditioner you should consider doing until your hair recovers from the chemical treatments.

Hope that helps.

Best wishes & Happy New Year,
Karen

Have a toner put in. Bleached hair can be toned down with a toner. Make sure you tell the stylist (yes, I agree with Karen, call the salon/stylist) to only tone it down a notch. I had to do a toner once on highlights and the toner really works.

Also, wait at least 3 weeks. With a color mess-up and re-highlight (speaking from experience), your hair will need about 3 weeks to replenish its own natural oils into the hair. Plus, condition like crazy. Keep leave-in conditioners in overnight.
