PerlaneŽ, the latest hyaluronic acid gel filler has been available in Canada and England (and Europe) but now appears is available to US consumers as of June 1, 2007.
PerlaneŽ is considered to be a longer lasting wrinkle filler and experts say that it can last for anywhere from 6-9 months before another injection is required. It is also considered to be better, according to some cosmetic doctors, then RestylaneŽ especially for very deep folds that require a strong or thicker filling agent. PerlaneŽ is often recommended for deep facial folds such as the nose to mouth lines or lines around the mouth.
PerlaneŽ has larger hyaluronic acid gel particles than RestylaneŽ although some doctors layer the two fillers together.
A numbing cream, spray of anesthetic block can be used when having injections into your face.
