I can't say I've followed Jacki Schechner's career on CNN or even paid attention to her. But this morning, she looked adorable, so I Googled her and found that she's made quite a hair transformation in recent years.

Here she is on her CNN profile: http://www.cnn.com/CNN/anchors_reporters/schechner.jacki.html - http://www.cnn.com/CNN/anchors_reporters/schechner.jacki.html

Here is how she looked in the recent past:

Now, you may look at her and say, "Huh?" But without the help of moving pictures (from today, anyway), you can't tell that her new shorter style is full of life, shows plenty of movement and seems to fit her petite body size. It's one of those styles that actually makes her cuter, especially when she smiles.

I don't know, maybe she just reminds me of Kim Raver of "24." I've had quite a crush on Kim.

I've been checking her out recently as well and I noticed her hair in today's caps looked great, she looks so much better with the darker, shorter style.  She could probably even pull shorter than that off, but it's a start, she's a bit underated but let's hope we keep getting those close up caps!

I miss 3rd Watch. It was a great show. Just that they killed off some many good actors on the show well it went down hill for there. I miss Kim. Here what can I say it's a bob. Looks good on her. That's all.

Smile The cut has a great line and looks very good on her, but I liked the little bit of length better on her. Her hair does seem to be thin, and would take extra TLC to look great long.
I couldn't help but notice that virtually all the women pictured on that Google link that Kramer gave us, had the same "professional" cut, give or take a coulple inches from the shoulders. No one dares venture into anything approaching stunning length, such as what Ann Curry had before her practical Stepford chop for Locks of Love (or ratings!). One has to wonder why. Best, Bob
P.S. For the record, Ann's hairstyle now is 100% better than the short, flat pancake hair she had before her growing adventure. Dead

It's just another ugly bob for me, reminiscent of Victoria Beckham, et. al

I'm with Fatmoogas. Another unmemorable bob. Yes it's different and somewhat better than before, but it's really just a few inches of length change, with the style and color untouched. She has a long face and I think the straight-down-the-sides style is making it look longer (and not in a good way).

I think it's a great cut (I love bobs) but maybe she needs a little more length.  Mid-neck or collar bone.  Plus, maybe not so tapered?  She needs width on the side to make her long face appear fuller.

So Ann is on the grow? I haven't watched her since her cut.

Shorter than what? Her hair has been like that for a year or more--longer than the period immediately after the cut.

Why do I have feeling that we aren't going to see it any longer than this? On Ann.

Well, she has the example of Natalie Morales in front of her.

Yep, exactly.  Not a flattering look.
