As my hair gets longer it tends to stand up more instead of laying down, i am using a hard brush but what would you suggest?

I suggest u not use a hard brush and use a softy. Thats natural, u just need to apply more hold using a product such as LJOT and durag longer for your hair to lay down.

do the h20 method or get some of that motions warapping lotion it will leave ur hair flat all day as long as ur using a softy!!! but it really doesn't give shine so jsut spray oil sheen on after using it!!! remember softy only!!!
